200 new blues pieces from 50 countries in 20 years – and and now a last new cd with the latest new pieces, that includes my ‘He is not here’, where James Brown and Gregorian chant meet.Now 20 years ago, January 1997, pianist Marcel Worms presented his ‘New Blues for Piano’ project for the first time in Amsterdam jazz venue the BIMHUIS. Now that the project has resulted in some 200 new pieces from over 50 countries, he presents a final concert, and with it, a final double cd, the eighth to apear in these years.. Besides his favourite blues pieces the cd contains the latest new works. It opens with my ‘He is not here‘, commissioned by Marcel with financial support of the Kattendijke-Drucker Stichting.
