Mascha van Nieuwkerk and Thomas Beijer in the first performance of the first Dance Capriccio, now for cello and piano, in the Bernard Haitink Hall of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Mascha came up with the idea of a cello version and I do not regret having made one – how beautifully do they play and what a special couple they are in and outside music!
..and what strange sounds at 1’54”.
More about Maswcha on her site. Thomas is no doubt a magnificent and extremely poetic pianist already becoming a well know face in Dutch music.
